An initiative is only ever as strong as the people who carry it. These are the people, and the association, behind A Stage for the Future.
It started with a belief
A Stage for the Future began with a simple conviction: that a child's imagination deserves a stage, and that cultures grow closer when children create side by side.
That belief became an initiative — one that now continues beyond its inaugural festival, carrying the paintings, the partnerships and the promise forward.
The association behind the vision
A Stage for the Future is organised by the Cypriots–Chinese Women & Children Association (CWCA) — a circle of care connecting cultures and generations across Cyprus and China. Born from women crossing paths in a new home, it grew into a place of belonging, trust and quiet strength.
The association works for children, for youth, for women, and for peace and unity between communities. Its published values are curiosity, kindness, creativity, hope, respect and inclusion — the same values the festival was built on.

One shared purpose
Teachers and artists, musicians and dancers, volunteers and families, sponsors and neighbours — the first edition was made possible by many hands, each contributing something the others could not.

From vision to reality
On 17–18 October 2026 the doors of Limassol Municipal Garden opened to the inaugural edition of A Stage for the Future: children's art, Chinese and Cypriot culture, music, dance, workshops and shared meals, all in one garden.
The people who stood behind it — speakers, performers, workshop leaders, photographers, volunteers and families — turned a plan on paper into two days that children will remember.
The story continues
The initiative continues. New chapters will be added to Our Journey, new artistic experiences will be created, and the charitable work that began with children's paintings will keep going.
